Outreach:
Nutrition education and outreach for low-income populations; child nutrition, maternal nutrition, cancer prevention, general nutrition and nutrition education techniques.

Interests:
Gail Hanula is a Registered and Licensed (GA) Dietitian. She supports the outreach mission of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences by providing program development, training, and technical assistance in foods and nutrition to county Extension agents in Family and Consumer Sciences and paraprofessionals in the Expanded Foods and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and the Family Nutrition Program (FNP). She develops curricula and teaching techniques for low-literacy and other target populations, and prepares nutrition publications based on current research. She is President of the Georgia Nutrition Council, a member of the Society for Nutrition Education, the Georgia Nutrition Council, the Georgia Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, and a former President of the Northeast Georgia Dietetic Association.
